Use Your Tongue in Faith for Ultimate Manifestations

Faith is expressed through spoken words. Faith comes by hearing—the hearing of spoken words. The word of faith, when spoken, triggers actions of faith in the hearer. Faith is communicated through speech; it is given by the speaking of faith and received by the hearing of faith. Through this communication, the Spirit is released from the speaker and supplied to the hearer, facilitating the miraculous.

As it is written in Galatians 3:2,

“This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

And again in Galatians 3:5:

“Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

If the hearing of faith supplies the Spirit and causes the working of miracles, then the speaking of faith must be responsible for the release of the Spirit.

The spoken word creates the pathway for the Spirit to take hold of the natural realm and cause the supernatural to manifest in time.

It is of utmost importance that you train your tongue to accurately speak the word of the Lord. The word of the Lord in your mouth should be sharper than a two-edged sword, giving life and demonstrating power. The word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword. It separates the spirit from the soul in the spiritual realm and the marrow from the joints in the natural. Nothing in creation is hidden from the supernatural operation of the word. Train your tongue to become a weapon for the warfare of faith.

As Ephesians 6:17 says,

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

To take up the sword of the Spirit means to speak the word, confirming what God says and using it to contradict anything contrary to His will. Train your tongue to speak with the authority of a judge—discriminating, knowing the difference between justification and condemnation. Use it to give life and to pronounce death.

As Matthew 18:18 says:

“Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven.”

Also, Matthew 12:36-37 reminds us:

“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

A trained tongue does not stumble with words. Though every person may stumble in one way or another, the one who trains their tongue to speak righteously takes full control of their body and nature, guiding them in the right direction regardless of what others may say.

As James 3:2-3 says:

“For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.”

The word trains the tongue to speak from the heart. Accurate expression and communication come from the heart. The heart is the destination for the word, and it is where conviction to speak flows from. Power is generated in the heart.

The parable of the sower illustrates the state of the heart. The effectiveness of the word depends on the state of your heart, and the release of the supernatural is framed by both the firmness of your heart and the boldness of your speech.

In Mark 4:14-24, we see different types of hearts:

The Wayside Heart:

This represents the unbelieving heart, which lacks understanding. The things of the Spirit are foolishness to such a person. Though this is not the state of a believer, a believer could become like a natural man if they reject the renewing of their mind in the truth of Jesus.

As 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 warns

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, [even] as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

The Stony Heart:

This heart receives the word with joy but does not endure trials that come because of the word. Such individuals are quickly offended and discard the word. These believers are offended by the preaching and cast aspersions on the system of communication.

This heart represents saints who are offended by the preaching of the word and cast aspersions on the system of communicating the word. Their absenteeism is proof they don’t want to hear the word. They question the faithfulness of God by how they treat the word and the system of communicating it.

The Thorny Heart:

These are the saints who will compare the world’s system with the hearing of the word, exalting the world’s system to the detriment of the hearing of faith. They choke the word and make it ineffective by their craving for the riches and glory of this world. Eventually, they will raise up teachers who cater to their cravings and lusts, turning their backs on the hearing of faith and instead listening to fallacies and fantasies.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.(AMP)

The Good Heart:

This is where we all should strive to be. It receives the word and allows it to take root through honest and sincere submission to its teachings.

As Mark 4:20-24 says,

And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit–some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much. And He said to them, Is the lamp brought in to be put under a peck measure or under a bed, and not [to be put] on the lampstand? [Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.] For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything [temporarily] kept secret except in order that it may be made known. If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend. And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you–and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.(AMP)

The heart is the ground where the word of faith takes root, releasing the Spirit for the working of miracles. It is where supernatural manifestations begin.

When the heart becomes good ground, the tongue speaks with supernatural power, releasing the Spirit without ambiguity.

As Colossians 2:6-7 says,

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”

Fill your heart with the word. Take personal responsibility for researching, reading, and studying the word.

As Acts 17:11 says,

“These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”

In 1 Thessalonians 2:13, Paul says,

“For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.”

The Thessalonians are an example of the hearing of faith. They searched the Scriptures and received the teachings as the truth, allowing it to work miraculously in them.

Make it a daily habit to read the word, memorize it, and meditate on it until it governs your thoughts, speech, and actions.

Learn to pray the word you are storing in your heart. Pray as someone who has fully received it and made it your own.

Daily build yourself up on your most holy faith by speaking in other tongues. This sharpens your tongue and your faith, preparing you to release the Spirit for the working of miracles.

I call you blessed.
