Honor Your Calling and Ministry

Honoring your calling and ministry is essential. Place eternal value on your calling, and let everyone you know the prize of your calling. When people hear about you or meet you, they should be captivated by the value you place on your calling and ministry.

Ephesians 4:1 (AMP)
“I therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God’s service].”

Romans 11:29 (MSG)
“God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded.”

In Christ, you have received a calling and a gift to serve the Lord. You are mandated to fulfill God’s will and purpose in your time. The ministry of reconciliation has made you an ambassador of Christ, conferring on you the authority and responsibility to use your speech and acts of faith to lead the unsaved back to their Savior (2 Corinthians 5:17-6:3). This calling also makes you a builder of the brethren in unity, fellowship, and faith (1 Peter 4:10-11). The honor you possess is defined by how faithfully you have embraced and utilized this ministry.

Your desire should be to fit into the ministry, serving it faithfully.

2 Thessalonians 1:11 (AMP)
“With this in view, we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of [your] calling and [His] every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in [your] every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness).”

The honor lies in waiting on your ministry.

Romans 12:7 (KJV)
“Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching.”

“Waiting on your ministry” is the honor you place on your calling. It means being faithful in your ministry, committed to it with excellence and diligence.

Your body deserves the honor of God and angels because you use it to honor God’s will and purpose without hesitation. Your body becomes honorable as it aligns with your calling and ministry. Angels utilize a serving body for the traffic of divine presence and power distribution.

Romans 12:1 (AMP)
“I appeal to you, therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.”

John 1:51 (NKJV)
“And He said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.’”

When your body is fully yielded in ministry to honor God, it becomes the conduit for the up-and-down traffic of angelic presence and power. Angels are stationed to minister to those who inherit salvation.

Hebrews 1:14 (AMP)
“Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?”

Honor Is Reciprocal

Honor your calling and ministry, and the power and presence of God will honor you.

Luke 12:8-9 (NKJV)
“Also, I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.”

Luke 15:10 (NKJV)
“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Angels honor those who faithfully serve in their ministry.

1 Peter 1:10-12 (NKJV)
“Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. To them, it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.”

Angels minister to those who have honored the ministry given to them. They will make the presence and power of God mightily felt.

Honor your ministry and be committed to excelling in it. Serve with the passion of the grace and power of God given to you, bringing forth the fruits of ministry diligently and joyfully.

I call you blessed.
