Be enlightened in the fellowship of light

The psalmist profoundly declared,

“For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we shall see light” (Psalm 36:9).

Years ago, I embraced this light and have journeyed in its revelation, gaining a deeper understanding of Christ. The influence of the Spirit in your life is directly related to the revelation knowledge of Jesus you possess. The light of Christ within you shines based on the depth of your understanding of Him.

As 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 (AMP) explains:

“For God, Who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ. However, we possess this precious treasure, the divine Light of the Gospel, in frail, human vessels, so that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.”

How enlightened are you? What light are you partaking in? Fellowship with the saints is crucial for gaining the light of the knowledge of God, which reveals the manifestation of His power in its fullest measure.
Early in my faith, I adopted the verse below as my guiding principle.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105)

I wrote it prominently on all my study materials. This verse became pivotal in my unending fellowship with the Word and Spirit. Through days and months of reading, studying, and praying, it fueled my hunger for fellowship and ministry. My sole desire was to be enlightened, so that the light of Christ within me would shine forth.

When someone is truly in this state, they don’t merely attend; they are punctual, prompt, and wholeheartedly participate in fellowship with the saints.

The fellowship of the saints, through hearing and learning about Christ, enlightens the mind to walk in the light of the knowledge of Christ within us. Disregarding the fellowship of the saints is a serious mistake, leading to spiritual blindness. A spiritually blind believer is more dangerous than an unbeliever, as they walk in darkness while believing they are in the light. This state makes them resistant to learning and unlearning, and they may further criticize the fellowship of the saints.

The solution to such deep-seated carnality is to receive the light. Where is this light found? In the fellowship of the saints. Participation in this light begins with punctuality to the place of fellowship, attentively listening, and allowing the Spirit of Christ to work within you.

As Ephesians 5:14 says:

“Therefore He says: ‘Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.’”

To “awake” and “arise from the dead” metaphorically describe the state of the carnal believer. This response to fellowship brings spiritual light, enlightening our minds to understand the depths of the Spirit within us, enabling us to use and demonstrate it confidently. Ephesians 1:17-19 and 1 Corinthians 2:9-12 elaborate on this enlightenment:

Ephesians 1:17-19:

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.”

1 Corinthians 2:9-12:

“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”

Are your eyes enlightened? Are you mindful of the things freely given to you in Christ?

If your answer is yes, then you are faithful in fellowship, and your participation is fruitful. You are walking in the revelation of Christ.

Walk in the light, be a light bearer, and become a lighthouse. Let the light of the knowledge of His glory illuminate your world as you walk in the revelation knowledge of Christ within the fellowship of the saints.

I call you blessed.
